Can I dump my Roger's cable TV service and watch TV on the Internet instead?

Ok, I am a Luddite it seems with this. I live in Ontario Canada – I have High speed internet via Rogers cable plus an (expensive) TV plan (The VIP Program) again through Roger’s cable.

I am tired of paying $90 per month for Television which I am finding for the most part – boring.
Yesterday I heard on the news people are cancelling their Television service and watching TV on line.

My questions:

1. How or what exactly is available on line. What URL or websites . I have no idea (again Luddite)

2. What do I do with my existing Computer – I have 3 computers in total with a hub connected to the main computer upstairs and then wireless connections that allow me to use the other two computers in the household.

There is one cable running from the outside into the house. The cable is plugged into the modem – the modem connected to the hub. This is upstairs.

3. Finally, I have a 40" LCD TV which currently has a separate cable running from the outside to the livingroom. But if I cancel that service, how would I connect the TV to the computer (the Hub and modem connection is upstairs – the TV is downstairs in the living room)

It seems very confusing and I’m wondering if I should just cut back on my Cable TV programming instead.

Any advice or help is appreciated.
Thanks. I didnt think there was much on-line. But at least now I know where to look.

Why can't there be a radio station for welfare recipients?

Where all the people on welfare and also UI can make
TV talk shows for other people on welfare so all the recipients can listen in and the bandwidth would be paid for by Govt as a new social program

Then if you work for welfare radio network you can put it on your resume and try to get jobs at like NPR or local TV reporting

Welfare Radio Network (WRN) a radio station and TV network for people on Welfare or UI

Monday schedule
First show airs at 11:45AM, giving welfare viewers enough time to get out of bed and unwind, think about pretty girls and get arousal out of their system and watch some YouTube and go on Facebook, before watching Welfare Television

11:45AM – 12:30pm – best places to dumpster dive for free food that might still be edible

12:45pm to 1:30pm – Mr. Rogers’ Ghetto NeighborHood", a show for welfare recipients involving make-believe and then meeting people who are begging for change and how to get off crack and cocaine and what songs to sing if you feel mad you can’t get unassisted

1:45 to 2:45pm – a show about how to organize peaceful protest and civil disobedience and that corporate people are worse off than welfare recipients because they are corporate robots

3pm to 4pm – they show Michael Moore movies

4pm to 5pm – they show welfare recipient bloopers when they try begging for change but their excuse for needing money is not believable and how to do a better begging job

5:30pm you get a chance to call the station and be a part of Welfare TV
After that they teach you how you can put welfare experience on your resume to find a job
